take a ulip of any company which have unlimited topup feature in it
buy that with mimimum yearly investment option available and do yearly topups as per ur requirement
this will reduce ur overall cost
and last suggestion ulips are meant only for 10+ horizon
if ur's is less try elss and other mfs
best way to do mfs is go to sites like valueresearchonline and find out top 5 schemes on different parameters and keep checking ur choosen funds once in every six months
